Walls
Patched, sanded and primed where they need it, then two coats of premium paint.
Dario’s Painting paints the inside of homes across Memphis and Shelby County: walls, ceilings, trim, doors and baseboards, with holes and cracks repaired before any paint goes on. Dario Galvez, the owner, writes every estimate and is on every job, and the crews speak English and Spanish.

Dario’s Painting paints interiors across Memphis and Shelby County: holes and cracks repaired first, then two coats over primer where needed. A standard bedroom is usually a day, prep included, and the estimate is free and written. National cost guides put interior painting at about $2 to $6 per square foot of floor, or $240 to $1,540 for one bedroom; your exact price comes from that estimate. Estimate visits are on weekdays from 11:30 to 1:30 and on Saturdays from 7am to 6pm.
The estimate lists each surface, the prep it needs, the coats and the paint, so you can see what you are paying for and choose what gets done.
Patched, sanded and primed where they need it, then two coats of premium paint.
Painted so they come out even, with the line along the top of the wall kept clean. Popcorn and textured ceiling removal is priced in person.
Crisp lines where they show most: baseboards, crown and casings, caulked where they meet the wall.
Interior doors and their frames, in a paint matched to the surface so it stands up to hands and bumps.
Holes, cracks, water stains and old patchwork fixed and blended before a drop of paint goes on.
Floors covered, furniture moved and wrapped, every edge masked, and the room put back each evening.
Dario walks the rooms with you, measures them, and checks the walls for cracks, stains and old patches. Anything that will cost more later if it is skipped now, he tells you about.
A written quote: surfaces, prep, coats, paint and days, line by line, with a start day and an end day. It is free, it carries no obligation, and it is yours to keep.
Furniture moved and wrapped, floors covered, edges masked. Holes and cracks are patched, sanded, caulked and primed. Prep is most of the work and all of the difference.
Two coats of Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore, over primer where the surface needs it. Tools are packed out and the room is put back each evening, not on the last day.
You walk the finished rooms with Dario and point at anything that is not right. It is fixed before the job is called done.

How many rooms, how big, and how high the walls go. Stairwells and tall ceilings take more ladder work and more time.
Cracks, holes, water stains and old patchwork are all repaired first. More repair means more prep time.
Walls alone, or walls with ceilings, trim and doors. Each is listed separately, so you decide what is included.
Covering a dark or strong color, or going from dark to light, can need primer under the two finish coats.
A furnished room takes longer to prep than an empty one. We move what we can and cover the rest.
Different rooms need different products and sheens. The quote names the paint for each surface.
Paint dries slower in damp air, and Memphis is humid for much of the year. Rooms that already run damp, like kitchens and bathrooms, need that drying time between coats, which is part of why a kitchen takes longer than a bedroom.
Where steam sits on the walls, a paint made for damp rooms holds up far better than ordinary wall paint. The product is matched to the room and written on the estimate.
Older Memphis houses often have plaster walls, hairline cracks and decades of paint on the trim, some of it oil-based. Oil-based trim needs the right primer before a water-based paint will stick to it, so Dario checks the surfaces at the visit.
In newer subdivisions, the first repaint is often over builder-grade flat paint, which scuffs easily and does not wipe clean. A better paint in the right finish is usually the fix.

National cost guides put it at about $2 to $6 per square foot of floor area, $3,000 to $9,000 for the inside of a 1,500 sq ft house, and $240 to $1,540 for one bedroom. Those are national averages, not Memphis quotes: wall repairs, ceiling height, color changes and whether ceilings and trim are included all move the price.
